The Langley Care Society operates Langley Lodge, a licensed, fully accredited, facility serving seniors and people with disabilities who require 24 hour residential care services. Located in the City of Langley, Langley Lodge is central in the Langley region and close to neighboring cities in the western Fraser Valley, including Surrey, Aldergrove, Delta, and White Rock. Langley Lodge receives funding from Fraser Health Authority for 112 subsidized spaces. We have an additional 27 private pay rooms for individuals who are not eligible for government subsidy.

 We are a not-for-profit organization, governed by an independent, volunteer Board of Directors. Our Directors represent our community and comprise a range of professions and industries. The role of the Board of Directors is to provide policy direction, vision, and future planning, accountability and operations oversight. Langley Care Society also has charitable status, and engages in fundraising and resource development activities to generate revenues to augment the range of services and include programs and therapies that are not funded by the provincial government.

As a residential care provider, Langley Care Society operates under various provincial statutes and regulations, including the Community Care and Assisted Living Act, and Public Health regulations.  As an accredited service provider, the Langley Care Society is accountable to Accreditation Canada. We are engaged in ongoing quality improvement initiatives to maintain standards for accreditation, and we undergo accreditation renewal every 3 years.

We are nearing completion of a major construction project, to create single room accommodations, in spacious, modern facilities. Our Care Staff comprise Registered Nurses, Registered Psychiatric Nurses, LPNs, Resident Care Aides, Therapeutic Recreation Aides, Physiotherapy, Dietitian and Social Worker. We have a team of dietary, housekeeping and maintenance staff who ensure that we have excellent food, spotless housekeeping and a well maintained facility. LCS is a local employer to approximately 160 staff.
